At Framework Computer’s next-gen hardware launch event today they announced the Framework Laptop 13 Pro as a ground-up redesign of their 13-inch modular laptop.
The Framework Laptop 13 Pro is a complete redesign of the Framework Laptop 13 that features a much larger (74Wh) battery, LPCAMM2 memory support, a new full-CNC aluminum chassis, a power-optimized display with touch support, a haptics touchpad, and initially is targeting the new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther Lake” designs.

After effectively having seven generations of the Framework Laptop 13, the new Framework Laptop 13 Pro is a clean sheet design with its new full-CNC aluminum chassis and much longer battery life and other improvements — in addition to being their first Intel Panther Lake product.

The Framework Laptop 13 Pro pre-orders begin today and start at $1,199 USD for the DIY Edition or $1,499 USD for the pre-built configuration. The first units will begin shipping in June.

Framework also used today’s event for announcing updates to the Framework Laptop 16 with now having a one-piece keyboard option, a haptic touchpad, a new bezel color, and also AMD Ryzen 5 processor options.
The new hardware is available for pre-order on Frame.work.
