Yamaha launches PSR-SX720+ arranger workstation in India with Bluetooth connectivity

Yamaha Music India has introduced the PSR-SX720+, a new arranger workstation that sits within the company’s established PSR-SX Series. The instrument arrives with a handful of notable upgrades over its predecessor, most prominently the addition of built-in Bluetooth audio and a new category of Voices inspired by Yamaha’s higher-end Genos range.

Priced at ₹1,21,990 and available in black, the PSR-SX720+ is aimed at gigging musicians, home studio users, and composers who want a capable arranger without stepping into flagship territory.

The headline addition is Bluetooth audio connectivity, which allows musicians to stream audio wirelessly — useful both on stage and in practice settings. Alongside this, the keyboard now includes Super Articulation Plus Voices, a sound engine feature previously reserved for Yamaha’s more expensive instruments. These voices are designed to more closely replicate the natural nuances of acoustic instruments.

The PSR-SX720+ also introduces Crossfade Portamento, which enables smooth pitch transitions between notes, and Style Dynamics Control, which gives performers more real-time influence over the feel and intensity of the built-in accompaniment patterns. A Style Insertion DSP has been added to allow dynamic effects to be applied directly to accompaniment styles.

The workstation features a seven-inch colour touchscreen as its primary navigation interface. Eight assignable panel buttons, six home-screen shortcuts, and two live control knobs allow performers to make adjustments on the fly without navigating deep into menus — a practical consideration for live performance contexts.

The PSR-SX720+ carries a library of over 1,300 voices and 450 styles, each with one-touch settings that automatically configure accompaniment parameters to suit the selected style. Expansion pack compatibility means the library can be extended beyond what ships in the box.

The arranger workstation category is particularly active in markets like India, where musicians frequently perform across a wide range of genres — from classical and folk to film and contemporary pop. Instruments in this segment are expected to handle diverse style requirements with minimal additional hardware, which partly explains the emphasis on a broad voice and style library.

The PSR-SX720+ is available now through Yamaha’s authorised dealer network across India.
