Wimbledon 2026 – BBC Sport serves up its biggest ever coverage with new stars, deeper analysis and every single match live


Andre Agassi, Jamie Murray OBE, Genie Bouchard and Laura Robson join BBC Sport’s all-star Wimbledon team as audiences get new voices, deeper analysis and more ways to watch than ever before.  

From the iconic lawns of SW19, BBC Sport returns as the home of Wimbledon, bringing audiences across the UK unrivalled coverage of The Championships 2026. Combining the prestige and tradition of one of the world’s greatest sporting events with fresh voices, new technologies and unprecedented access, this year’s coverage promises to be the most comprehensive in BBC history. 

Free-to-air and available to everyone, BBC Sport’s coverage spans TV, radio, digital and its extensive social platforms, ensuring audiences never miss a moment of the drama, wherever they are and however they choose to consume.

In a major expansion of its coverage, BBC Sport is introducing a host of new names to its Wimbledon line-up, adding fresh perspectives from some of the biggest personalities in world tennis. 

Leading the new arrivals is two-time Wimbledon mixed doubles champion Jamie Murray OBE, who joins as BBC Sport’s dedicated analysis expert. Murray will use enhanced match data, advanced technology and tactical breakdowns to offer viewers deeper insight into the modern game than ever before. From key match ups and strategic shifts to the finer details of singles and doubles play, audiences will gain unprecedented access to the game within the game. 

Joining the team for the first time is former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie (Genie) Bouchard, offering a contemporary player’s perspective on the realities of competing at the highest level. With experience of the pressures, expectations and scrutiny that come with tennis’s biggest stages, Bouchard will bring audiences closer to the mindset of today’s stars and the stories unfolding beyond the baseline. 

Former British number one Laura Robson returns to Wimbledon with the BBC team, bringing her engaging style and expert knowledge courtside throughout the fortnight. Robson will deliver immediate reaction and expert analysis, bringing tennis fans to the heart of the action throughout The Championships. 

Tennis icon Andre Agassi is back with the BBC team for the climax of the tournament. One of the sport’s most celebrated champions, Agassi will provide expert analysis and unique insight into the evolution of the game, drawing on his own remarkable experiences competing for Wimbledon glory while examining the players shaping the future of the sport. 

Together, they join an outstanding BBC Wimbledon team featuring Clare Balding CBE and Isa Guha MBE who will lead the daily TV coverage across BBC One, BBC Two, and BBC iPlayer, as well as John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Pat Cash, Tim Henman OBE, Annabel Croft and Kyle Edmund. This will also mark Andrew Castle’s last Wimbledon on the BBC team after over 20 years on commentary duties. 

Gigi Salmon and Clare McDonnell will bring the atmosphere of SW19 to life across BBC Radio 5 Live, 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds. BBC Tennis Correspondent Russell Fuller will continue to lead the BBC’s cross-platform tennis journalism, as well as commentating on BBC Radio 5 Live.

TV and iPlayer 

Live from the iconic All England Lawn Tennis Club, BBC Sport brings unrivalled coverage of this year’s championship, led by Clare Balding and Isa Guha. 

Isa Guha kicks off the day’s action in the morning on BBC Two, before Clare Balding takes over in the afternoon as play continues into the evening on BBC One.  

As the tournament reaches its gripping conclusion, Andy Stevenson will present coverage of the wheelchair finals. 

Joining Clare and Isa in the BBC studio are a stellar line-up of tennis legends, including Grand Slam champions John McEnroe, Martina Navratilova, Billie Jean King, Pat Cash, and Tracy Austin, alongside Tim Henman, Kyle Edmund, Annabel Croft, Eugenie Bouchard and Jamie Murray to provide their insight and analysis throughout the fortnight.  

Specialist commentary is provided by Andrew Castle, Chris Bradnam, James Burridge, Pat Cash, Naomi Cavaday, Matt Chilton, Andrew Cotter, Annabel Croft, Katherine Downes, Jo Durie, Colin Fleming, Paul Hand, Dom Inglot, Abigail Johnson, Anne Keothavong, Robbie Koenig, Nick Lester, Alicia Molik, Ryan Harrison, John Lloyd, Ronald Mcintosh, Nick Monroe, Nick Mullins, Pete Odgers, Arvind Parmar, Louise Pleming, Simon Reed, Sam Smith, Liz Smylie, Mel South, Andy Stevenson, Todd Woodbridge plus Jayant Mistry and Louise Hunt for the Wheelchair events. 

Radio and Sounds 

Gigi Salmon and Clare McDonnell present live coverage on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds.  

Joining the team are former Wimbledon champions Pat Cash and Marion Bartoli, offering expert insights throughout the tournament. They are accompanied by Kim Clijsters, Annabel Croft, Naomi Broady, Mark Woodforde, Jeff Tarango, Leon Smith, Daniela Hantuchova, Kyle Edmund and Ryan Harrison. 

Radio commentary is led by BBC Sport’s Tennis correspondent Russell Fuller, joined by Gigi Salmon, David Law, Naomi Cavaday, Jonathan Overend, Iain Carter, Katie Smith, Abigail Johnson, Qasa Alom, Sara Orchard, Maz Farookhi, Claire Thomas and James Gregg. 5 Live’s Wimbledon team will bring audiences all the major matches live, with regular updates from the outside courts.

Delyth Lloyd and Lee James will commentate and present live, extensive coverage of Wimbledon on the BBC World Service, bringing the global insight and angles to the oldest Grand Slam tennis tournament in the world. They’ll have expert analysis from Wimbledon champions and former players across commentary matches, with reporting from Chris Dennis and Shourjo Sarkar. 

Jamie Broughton and Jon Wilkinson are courtside providing coverage for the 39 BBC Local Radio stations.
