The previous episode of Prime Video’s The Boys was intense from start to finish as the race to V1 continues. But that was only part of what made this an incredible episode. Soldier Boy and Homelander were on the heels of The Boys as each team searched Fort Harmony for V1. However, Homelander is searching for immortality, and Soldier Boy is looking to prevent that.
While in the former Vought compound, everyone’s mind was filled with hateful thoughts, leading to violent urges and actions. Well, everyone except Frenchie, who was immune thanks to years of drug use messing with his brain. In the end, everyone who was there had to come to terms with their real feelings for others and themselves. Even Soldier Boy had to admit things to himself that he didn’t know existed
The Boys has a trend where the fourth episode of the season is the best. Now, this season isn’t over, but it will be tough to top what happened in “King of Hell”. This is the same timeslot that the show has used for not only this season, but for the show’s whole run, so now that we have reached the halfway point of the season, there is little reason to think it will change.

What to expect in The Boys season 5 episode 5
Vice President Ashley Barrett, Firecracker, and Oh Father have officially started the momentum on making Homelander a God. Oh Father renamed his church to the Democratic Church of America and announced that Homelander is a prophet of the Christian God. However, Homelander didn’t seem to enjoy his moment in the spotlight.
The leader of The Seven looked like a deer in headlights as he stepped on the stage. Maybe it was his near-death experience or the confrontation with his father, Soldier Boy. Either way, whenever Homelander is confronted with something and loses, his next move is never rational. We can expect the same in the upcoming episodes.
We have officially reached the halfway point of the final season of The Boys. That means things will start moving faster from here on out. On top of that, the main characters (both heroes and villains) will likely start dying. Yeah, it’s going to be a major rollercoaster of a season of television – heck, it already is!
