Taylor Swift Gushes Over Travis Kelce in a Burgundy Velvet Minidress

  • Taylor Swift stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on December 10.
  • Wearing a burgundy velvet minidress, Swift promoted her forthcoming Disney+ docuseries about her 149-show run of the Eras Tour, which wrapped late last year.
  • She also took time to swoon over fiancé Travis Kelce, whom she called “the love of my life.”

Taylor Swift, just days ahead of her 36th birthday on December 13, is also embracing the holiday spirit sartorially. The singer stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on December 10 wearing a burgundy velvet minidress to chat about her upcoming docuseries The End of an Era—which drops its first episodes on Disney+ on December 12—as well as, of course, gush about fiancé Travis Kelce.

For her appearance, Swift wore a sculptural $1,695 look from David Koma, paired with matching Aquazzura stilettos, a vintage 18-carat gold, ruby, and diamond necklace, her signature red lip, and her hair worn up in a chic chignon. Swift was, of course, also wearing her engagement ring from Kelce, who she told Colbert was “the love of my life.”

Referencing getting engaged and “getting all my music back” this year, Swift said, “Those were two things that just might never have happened. They could have just never happened. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, it’s just a matter of time.’”

“Both of those things could have just never arrived in my life, and I’m so grateful for both of those things happening,” she continued.

Swift’s docuseries follows the creation and execution of her landmark Eras Tour, and she told fans at an intimate advance screening of the first two episodes of the six-part series that the tour was “a lifetime within my life.”

“There’s a lot of magic and mystery that happens when something goes as well as this [tour] did,” she said.

Speaking to Colbert, she addressed her career, too, telling the host, “I think what I look up to the most in people is career longevity,” Swift said. “Career longevity, friendship longevity, longevity in their relationships—you know, how do you keep a good thing going? I think there are certain corners of our society that really love that and look up to longevity. There’s also corners that are like, ‘Give someone else a turn! Can’t you just go away so we can talk about how good you were?’ And I’m like, I don’t want to.”

Swift admitted that she genuinely liked working, adding, “So I think when I take time off, it’s almost like I can’t slow down the fact that I need to get up and do a lot of things today. But I can change what those things are. Like, I can figure out how to chill out, but I’m never going to be a chill person.”
