Taylor Swift is a master of secrets, but one way fans have tried to predict her next move is by periodically checking her copyright and trademark applications to see if she has anything in the works. This time, instead of new music,
Swift’s legal team filed three new trademarks, seemingly to protect her from AI re-creations. The new filings include two voice recordings of Swift saying “Hey, it’s Taylor Swift” and “Hey, it’s Taylor.” Her legal team also filed an image of Swift wearing the Lover bodysuit while playing guitar during the Eras Tour. If Swift gets the trademark approved, say sayonara to the “Travy big game” AI remix.

This comes three months after Matthew McConaughey’s attorneys won similar trademarks for recordings in which he re-created iconic movie lines such as “All right, all right, all right.” Responding to the victory, Jonathan Pollack, McConaughey’s of-counsel attorney, said at the time, “In a world where we’re watching everybody scramble to figure out what to do about AI misuse, we have a tool now to stop someone in their tracks or take them to federal court.”
