Power couple Scooter Braun and Sydney Sweeney went viral over the weekend when the super-manager posted a reel to Instagram captioned, “When you’re in bed at 11pm and your girl says, ‘I’ve never been to Times Square.’” He added a laughing/crying emoji plus footage of the duo on Citi Bikes cycling to Times Square, where Sweeney beamed incognito beneath shades and a blue hoodie marveling at the lighted up billboards, including one of her own, as she took in the scene for the first time.

Showbiz insiders with long memories were LOL’ing and passing around clips on Sunday of the last time Sweeney told a guy she’d “never been to Times Square” on video — her “Anything But You” co-star Glen Powell back in 2023.
Two weeks before the smash film was released in December three years ago, behind-the-scenes footage of Sweeney and Powell promoting the film was posted on TikTok showing the co-stars walking arm-on-arm past the Minskoff Theatre (home of “The Lion King” on Broadway), when Sweeney exclaims to Powell breathlessly, “Where are we?” Powell replies, “Times Square,” and Sweeney gasps and exclaims, “I’ve never been to Times Square!”
Powell asks incredulously, “You’ve never been to Times Square?” And Sweeney says, “No!” explaining to an off-camera lackey, “We just drive through.”
Sweeney and Powell then arrive in Times Square to view their “Anything But You” billboard together, according to the clip. Powell also says of the star’s first first-ever Times Square visit, “That’s the funny part about Syd… You realize she’s done everything and yet nothing.”
The press junket montage then shows the co-stars behind-the-scenes at NBC’s “Today” show at the time, as Sweeney tells Powell, “I always hate this… I get nervous.” Powell tells her, “You’re going to be great” and shows her how to wave and smile. They also then meet up with Drew Barrymore, and appear at BuzzFeed.
At one stop on their PR blitz, Sweeney pauses, seemingly stymied, in front of a Manhattan building’s revolving door and tells Powell, “I suck at these things!” But he boldly reassures her, saying supportively of her door dilemma, “OK, go!”
In the weekend video posted by Braun, however, he cuts to Sweeney on her latest “first” Times Square trip as she’s chowing down on a burger in her shades and hoodie disguise. “How is it?” Braun asks of the novel experience. Sweeney nods, exclaiming, “Good!”
Sweeney and Powell have never been romantically involved, though there was wishful thinking among fans as the duo’s off-and-on-screen chemistry was off the charts. (Sweeney also attended a Powell family wedding in Dallas, Tex., last year.)
Braun and Sweeney began dating last fall after meeting at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s 2025 wedding. But they hard-launched their romance on social media earlier this month, and Sweeney posted several shots with Braun at music fest Stagecoach.
