Sony unveiled its latest top of the line noise cancelling headphones, the WH-1000XM6, almost one year ago in May of 2025. Now it seems like the company is getting ready to introduce a refreshed version – meet Sony’s The ColleXion headphones.
These are supposedly coming in the near future in two colors, black and white. They seem to have a different hinge compared to the WH-1000XM6, and the cup material could be different too.

The source of these renders claims a fake leather finish may be replacing the matte plastic of last year. There is, of course, a USB-C charging port (on the right cup).
Previous rumors claimed the ColleXion headphones would be priced at $649. So with that in mind, they’re clearly not meant to replace the WH-1000XM6, but instead act as a more premium alternative. We’ll let you know when we find out more about them.
