Samantha Ruth Prabhu is focusing more on female oriented films of late. After failing consecutively in Telugu, she is back to test her luck with Maa Inti Bangaram, directed by BV Nandini Reddy with who she earlier collaborated on the film, Oh Baby.
The film was supposed to get released yesterday but the team earlier announced a postponement. The team confirmed the film’s release to happen on June 19. Interestingly, the decision is making more sense now.
When the team made the announcement regarding the postponement, the fans and the general public were in an opinion that Samantha is missing out on a good release window.
Many told that Samantha should have considered releasing the film on May 14th itself as she would have two to three weeks solid run in theatres. But considering the current theatrical situation in Telangana, Samantha did the right thing.
The exhibitors and the single screen owners are in an opinion to boycott films if the producers won’t agree for a percentage share in the revenues. They want to implement the same immediately. Had this been the situation, Samantha’s film could have undergone a crisis and further faced loses.
Whatever was the reason behind the postponement, it is now proven to be a calculated move by Samantha and her team.
