Harry’s wife Meghan Markle took to Instagram over the weekend to thirst over her hubby’s polo look.
On this week’s episode of royals dropping their titles: Prince Harry forwent his prince status during his latest appearance—but not for the reason you might think. While competing at the Aspen Valley Polo Club’s 2025 St. Regis World Snow Polo Championships late last week, Harry nixed his title and added a confusing last name when he was reportedly announced as “Harry Wales,” per Page Six.

A source told the outlet that “Harry was introduced as Harry Wales, with no royal title mentioned ever or anywhere.” The switch up happened for no no particular reason other than the fact that he wanted to lay low, hangout with his polo-playing pal Nacho Figueras, and focus on the competition at hand. So you could say, the former senior royal chose a stage name for his big moment.

“He was there to play polo with his best friend Nacho,” the insider added. “No titles, just fun.”
After all, Harry is a longtime enthusiast of the sport with experience dating back to his days as a young royal. His grandfather Prince Philip, father King Charles, and brother Prince William are also fans of polo. Although his choice of surname may seem confusing—opting for Wales instead Sussex—he and his brother William went by Wales in school because their father was previously the Prince of Wales.
It wasn’t just his moniker that Harry kept under the radar. According to Page Six, his security was strict about photos unless he was on the pitch. “Off the field though, security wouldn’t let any photographers near him,” the source said.

One of the snaps they did manage to snag, though, actually ended up on his wife Meghan Markle’s Instagram Story. The Duchess shared a picture of her hubby mid-play in a turquoise blue zip-up and white riding pants with a flirty caption. “Oh, hello there,” she cheekily wrote. Can you really blame her, though—Who doesn’t love a man in uniform?
