NexPhone will allow you to run Android, Linux and Windows 11 on one smartphone • Межа

Nex Computer introduced the NexPhone smartphone, which supports three operating systems at once: Android, Linux (Debian), and Windows 11 through multiboot. The device also received good technical specifications and an adequate price of $549.

In everyday use, the NexPhone runs Android 16 like any regular smartphone, but when needed, NexOS has a separate app to run Debian, a Linux distribution. It supports a full system environment wherever needed.

In addition, thanks to dual-boot, users will be able to run Windows 11 on their smartphone. The Nex Computer team has developed a special mobile interface for this, adapted for convenient operation directly from the phone screen.

When connected to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, the NexPhone turns into a full-fledged mini-PC. In this mode, you can work with Android desktop mode, run Linux with hardware acceleration, or boot into Windows 11 for a full PC environment.

The smartphone itself has a 6.58-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2403 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The rear dark gray polycarbonate panel with a non-slip rubber coating houses two cameras: a 64-megapixel main Sony IMX787 sensor and a 13-megapixel Samsung S5K3L6XX ultra-wide-angle module. The front camera has a resolution of 10 megapixels.

Inside, the NexPhone is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm QCM6490 processor with a peak frequency of 2.7 GHz, an Adreno 643 graphics chip, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage with microSD support up to 512 GB. A 5000 mAh battery with 18 W charging support is responsible for autonomy. The smartphone also has wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and two SIM slots.

Nex Computer first showed the idea of this device back in 2012, but it took 14 years to bring it to a finished product. Now the company plans to release the new product in the third quarter of 2026. Those interested can reserve the NexPhone for $199, and later pay an additional $350. Each device will be equipped with a free USB-C hub and will be sold on the global market.
