Multiple NXT Debuts Expected Tonight As WWE Begins Another “New Era” After Call-Ups

Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT isn’t just another stop on the road to Battleground — it’s reportedly the start of yet another “new era” for the brand.

According to new details, several changes behind the scenes over the past week have set the stage for fresh faces to arrive on NXT television. With multiple superstars recently called up to WWE’s main roster, the brand is now expected to reload in a big way.

Sources told Bodyslam that tonight’s episode is expected to feature multiple debuts, signaling a shift in the roster following those recent call-ups. One debut has already been confirmed, but it reportedly won’t be the only one fans see. Sources indicated the following regarding tonight’s plans.

“Tonight’s episode of NXT is the beginning of another ‘new era’ for NXT as multiple superstars were called up to the main roster over the last week.”

That same report also noted that more than one new name could appear on the show, adding even more intrigue heading into the episode.

“Multiple debuts are expected to take place tonight including the already announced Lizzy Rain.”

Lizzy Rain is already scheduled to make her official NXT debut, which has been teased since her video package aired last week. However, the possibility of additional debuts suggests WWE may be planning a noticeable shift in the NXT roster as new talent steps into the spotlight.

Along with the expected debuts, tonight’s NXT lineup is still stacked with advertised matches and segments. Myles Borne is set to defend the NXT North American Championship against Saquon Shugars, while Shiloh Hill faces Ricky Saints in what could be Saints’ final appearances before heading to SmackDown. The BirthRight will also face E.K. Prosper and Dorian Van Dux in tag team action, and Tony D’Angelo’s next challenger for the NXT Championship is expected to be revealed.

With multiple call-ups already shaking up the roster and fresh faces reportedly waiting in the wings, tonight’s episode could mark a major turning point for the brand as WWE reshapes NXT heading into Battleground.
