THIS is the moment Benedict Cumberbatch gets into a blazing row in the middle of the street with a fellow cyclist.
Shocked bystanders watched on as the Doctor Strange and Sherlock star was called “deluded” during the heated exchange near King’s Cross Station in London.
Footage has now emerged of the row involving Cumberbatch and a masked cyclist unfolding at around 5.30pm on Tuesday in the capital.
A passerby, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed that moments before the row began, he saw the actor’s cargo bike “running a red light” in the cycle lane with another biker in hot pursuit.
The second rider then said to Cumberbatch, “I knew you were going to do that”, according to the eyewitness.
The onlooker then filmed a furious man in red trousers calling the actor “deluded” and shouting “you’re lying” during the heated exchange just round the corner from St Pancras International.
But Cumberbatch hits back and accuses the masked fellow biker of “verbally abusing” him during the argument, which was watched by shocked fans who said it lasted ten minutes.
The A-list star then left his bike and walked across the road to confront the other cyclist, and the pair immediately got into a heated exchange.
The angered cyclist can be seen shouting: “You’re deluded, You’re lying. I was behind you the entire time.”
Cumberbatch responded with: “Dude, you verbally abused me.”
The other cyclist responds with a seemingly sarcastic crying gesture and says, “Oh no, I verbally abused the guy who completely repeatedly broke the law,” with Cumberbatch admitting, “I did it once.”
The accuser – who is wearing a mask – continues saying, “and then you went through a zebra crossing, you went through three lights”.
But Cumberbatch refused to back down either and was heard saying “no, I did not”.
The altercation lasted ten minutes before the masked man left the scene.
Cumberbatch then posed with two young fans for a selfie, said the witness – who is a big fan of the Doctor Strange star.
The fan, who filmed the animated confrontation, said: “It was crazy. It was such a pompous road rage it almost felt like it had been staged.
“Benedict still managed to charm everyone watching even though he was having a meltdown. They went at each other about five times.”
The eyewitness claimed that the pair blocked the lane while arguing on the busy road.
The onlooker continued: “The masked guy was obviously some kind of vigilante – he was really taken aback when he saw it was Benedict Cumberbatch, but he doubled down on his rage.
“Everyone was just stood there with jaws dropped.
“These school kids asked ‘is that Dr Strange?’ and asked for a picture with him.
“Benedict said ‘not at the moment, in a minute’; he was lovely with them, they were awe-struck.
“I don’t condone dangerous driving, but for this guy to follow him and cause an incident like this was worse.”
