Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman used to be one of the sweetest couples in Hollywood, but after the alleged cheating scandal, everyone wants to know the details. And it seems Furness may be getting closer to being ready to tell her story.
Rumors of a book deal started back in Oct 2025, when insiders told Rob Shuter for His Naughty but Nice Substack that she allegedly met with book dealers about her memoir. They said, “She’s reclaiming her voice. She spent years being known as Hugh’s wife. Now she wants to be known for her truth.”

Turns out, the book may be happening. Insiders recently told Closer Online UK that Furness may be ready to reclaim her image and lay it all out there.
“The book is step one, but – for Deb to justify the big bucks – she’ll have to lay everything out there, which will include Hugh’s shady behaviour with Sutton, and other occasions where he wasn’t exactly lily-white,” the insider said. “The size of the paycheck does matter for her pride, but the bigger purpose in all of this for Deb would be to take back some control and reclaim her part in this story.”
They added, “She spent years helping Hugh build this image of being the ultimate devoted husband and all-around good guy, only to now watch herself totally erased from the picture while he parades around with Sutton. It might not be so hard to take if they weren’t rubbing their romance in her face while she’s still picking up the pieces after the divorce… As much as she’s not a vengeful person, that has pushed her buttons. The truth is, she never got the chance to have any closure.”

For those who don’t know, Jackman and Furness married in April 1996, after meeting on the show Correlli the year prior. They adopted two children named Oscar Maximillian, born in May 2000, and Ava Eliot, born in July 2005.
Sadly, the pair called it quits after 27 years together, and separated in Sept 2023. They have yet to officially file for divorce, allegedly due to no prenup being in place. Then, Jackman and Foster’s relationship allegedly began as an affair in 2022, while they were working together on The Music Man on Broadway. They had met over a decade prior, in 2008, when they saw Shrek on Broadway.
