Frasier star Kelsey Grammer became a father for the eighth time when his wife, Kayte Walsh, gave birth to a baby boy in October 2025.
“It’s wonderful, it’s absolutely wonderful. You forget what a blessing it is to have a small child in my life,” Grammer star told TMZ. “I turned tonight to look at my four kids and my beautiful wife and it does not get better than this.” He went on to say that a major pro to having kids later in life is that there’s a level of “wisdom” that comes along with it.
“‘When you’re a young man, you try to carve out your niche and take care of the family and be the man you want to be, but that can be pretty time consuming,” he continued.
Grammer also shares kids Faith, 13, Gabriel, 11 and James, 8, with Walsh, whom he married in 2011. He also shared some details about his newborn in an interview with E! News that was published on Dec. 12.
“He’s a really easy kid, but my wife Kayte has been exemplary. The first couple kids we were still sort of improving a little bit, but we were good at it,” he said, adding that the new baby is “sleeping through the night and that he is a “wonderful kid.”
It’s unknown if Grammer and Walsh will have more kids, but it’s entirely possible that they’re open to the idea.
“I can’t imagine not trying for more because it’s been incredible,” Grammer told People magazine in 2020.
Grammer is also a dad to Spencer, 42, with ex-wife Doreen Alderman; Greer, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner and sons Mason, 24, and Jude, 21, with ex Camille Grammer.
