There seems to be no end in sight to Hugh Jackman’s drama with his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. The exes, who were married for nearly 30 years, separated in 2023 and finalized their divorce in June 2025.
Following their separation, Jackman quickly moved on with his The Music Man co-star, Sutton Foster, fueling rumors of an affair between them. The speculation only intensified after Deb described their divorce as a “traumatic journey of betrayal.”
Since then, tensions between the former couple have reportedly escalated, with sources claiming that Jackman blames Deb for Hollywood friends like Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe, and Naomi Watts allegedly “turning against him.”
Amid the ongoing tensions, Deb is said to be ready to share her side of the story, which sources say has left Jackman “terrified.”

According to RadarOnline, Deb still feels “very hurt” and “betrayed” by Jackman’s actions, and she’s now “ready to forge ahead with some plans that have been on ice for over a year.”
“A book is step one, but for Deb to justify the big bucks she’ll have to lay everything out there, which will likely include Hugh’s shady behavior with Sutton and other occasions where he wasn’t exactly lily-white,” a source told the outlet.
There’s also reportedly interest in a documentary project, since Deb allegedly has “got hundreds of hours’ worth of home video footage, dating back to their very earliest times together.” Reports indicate that Jackman and Deb had a proposed NDA, but Deb “refused to sign it,” leaving the Deadpool & Wolverine actor “on edge” as talks of a bombshell tell-all continue.
“There’s a real worry on his side that people will start seeing him as this major love rat who’s been conning his fans with a false image,” the insider added. “But Deb is done holding back.”
They continued, “For Hugh all this is the ultimate nightmare. He just wants to move on with his life and wishes Deb would stop being so petty But he’s made his bed and now he’s going to have to deal with the consequences.”
