Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was released for PS5 in February 2024, and is the second part in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series. The game follows Cloud and company as they venture outside of Midgar and explore the world in search of Sephiroth, with their journey taking them to areas including Junon, the Gold Saucer, Cosmo Canyon, and Nibelheim among others. Much like FFVII Remake however, the game has been greatly expanded with new areas and side quests, with players able to uncover numerous areas of interest in the open word, such as Mako springs, deciphering ancient runes, unlocking towers, and taking part in combat challenges.
Square Enix is currently working on the third and final instalment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake project, although a release date has yet to be announced.
