During the second weekend of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Kim Kardashian’s daughter posted a TikTok slideshow recapping her time at the event. One of the photos featured her 13-year-old cousin Penelope, the daughter of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick.

In the snap, Penelope dressed like many teens around her age, wearing a crop top with light-wash baggy jeans and a black belt. She kept her hair simple in a ponytail, sticking to her natural color, and wore minimal makeup.
North, on the other hand, leaned into her usual bold aesthetic, rocking a grunge-inspired look with a black printed T-shirt, ripped shorts, platform boots, studded bracelets, and a chain necklace. She styled her signature blue hair in curls, paired it with a black-and-white manicure, and added sparkly eyeshadow.
In the comments, reactions quickly poured in, comparing their outfits. “I love the way Penelope is just being herself,” one person wrote on Instagram. “P needs to stop hanging out with North; she’s a bad influence,” another user added, with the same sentiment repeated by someone else. “Love how natural P looks,” one comment read. “Penelope has such a natural vibe, not a hectic vibe like her cousin North,” another wrote.

North West Faces Backlash For Her Outfits
North West has drawn increasing attention over the past year for her fashion choices at just 12 years old. Her mother, Kim Kardashian, has faced backlash from some online critics for allowing her daughter to dress freely, including an appearance in a corset during a trip to Italy with her mother last summer.
Beyond clothing, North has also made headlines for her bold accessories, with reports noting at least a dozen studs and spike-style piercings across her hands, fingers, and wrists. More recently, fans pointed out what appeared to be thigh piercings during her Coachella appearance.
She has also performed on stage with her father, Kanye West, previewing music from her upcoming project Elementary School Dropout. In one track titled “Piercing On My Hand,” she raps:
