Nagarjuna Akkineni’s wife, Amala Akkineni recently gave a look into her marriage with the Tollywood star. The couple, admired as one of the most ideal pairings in South cinema she recently revealed their bond thrives not because everything is perfect, but because they care deeply about each other’s decisions, fears and passions.Speaking in an interview with NTV, Amala shared that she and Nagarjuna don’t argue, but sometimes worry about each other’s decisions. Whenever differences arise, they show concern rather than confrontation. She said, “Just as I take interest in different subjects and love talking about them, Nagarjuna is the same. He may not publicly seek conversations on everything, but he is a very curious person with a vast understanding of many subjects.“
Curiosity keeps their bond strong
She described both of them as naturally curious individuals who love learning, reading and working on new interests. Their conversations at home often revolve around what they are exploring or experiencing at the moment. “Whenever we talk, it’s usually to share what we have learned or what we are curious about. We often take interest in each other’s work and whatever we are involved in,” she said.
Nagarjuna’s protective side
Amala also mentioned that the ‘Coolie’ actor is always supportive of her choices, even when he occasionally worries about them. Giving an example, she shared that she follows Vipassana meditation and follows spirituality without a guru and that her independent spiritual path often attracts attention from various teachers and organisations. Though she remains cautious and selective, Nagarjuna fears she may unknowingly fall prey to the wrong people.She said, “Nagarjuna gets extremely concerned. He fears I might get scammed. With all due respect to those who are genuine, there are others who are not. So in that way, Nagarjuna always shares his opinion on everything I do, which I appreciate, but I don’t blindly follow him. And I do the same for him, and he listens.”

Amala also revealed that Nagarjuna plays a crucial role in her professional space as well. As the Chairperson of Annapurna College of Film and Media, he actively supports her work as Director, frequently joining discussions, helping guide the institution and remaining the go-to person for key decisions.
