Arsenal have a new injury problem following their victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium as they earned a crucial three points in the Premier League title race
Arsenal scraped a win against West Ham United to set them firmly on course for a Premier League title, but they could not emerge from the match without another injury worry for their final run-in.
Leandro Trossard scored the crucial goal for the Gunners, who had laboured during the match at the London Stadium. It was not a vintage performance from the Premier League frontrunners, who suffered a number of scares, including a late West Ham strike being ruled out by VAR.
But Mikel Arteta’s side pulled through with another victory to open up a five-point gap, having played a game more than rivals Manchester City. The Gunners are two matches away from domestic glory and also have a Champions League final awaiting them.
It will be a nervous wait for Arsenal boss Arteta, who has seen one position in particular hit by injury. With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the latest Arsenal injury news.

Ben White
Ben White left the London Stadium with his right knee in a brace after being forced off the field in the first half of the game against West Ham. The England international looked emotional as he departed the pitch with the assistance of Arsenal medical staff.
The issue would appear to put the rest of his season in doubt with just three games remaining for the Gunners.
“We don’t know but it does not look good at all,” Arteta said in his press conference following the match.
Potential return date: End of season.
Riccardo Calafiori
Riccardo Calafiori also had a premature exit from the field against West Ham. The Italian did not emerge after half-time as he was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera after picking up an injury.
Potential return date: Unknown
Jurrien Timber
The Dutchman has been out with an injury and might not be back before the end of the season. The full-back was in attendance at the London Stadium on Sunday and was on the field in an Arsenal tracksuit, as the teams warmed up.
Timber remains outside of the squad, however. Heading into the game against the Irons, Arteta conceded that his recovery needs to be quick to stand a chance of playing any minutes at all.
Potential return date : End of season.
Mikel Merino
Mikel Merino has been a long-term absentee after undergoing surgery and remains in a race to return before the end of the season. The Spaniard was bidding to make a fast-tracked return but it now appears he will be hard pushed to appear.
“There’s still a fair bit to do, so everything has to be smooth and quick if they want to have a chance to play any minutes,” said Arteta ahead of West Ham.
Potential return date : End of season.
