Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan have worked together in multiple films in their careers and now ever since their appearances have gone viral, fans think they are more than just friends. The two are yet to issue any statement on the same.

Thalapathy Vijay’s wife Sangeetha Sornalingam has filed for divorce after 26 years of marriage on the grounds of infidelity. The couple tied the knot on August 25, 1999 and are blessed with two children. The name that has cropped up for the other woman is that of Trisha.

When Trisha Krishnan called off her engagement

Many moons ago, Trisha was engaged to Chennai-based businessman Varun Manian but called it off later. In a statement, the actress clarified her reason for doing so. “The person I was supposed to marry, asked me to stop acting. Instead of films, I chose to put a full stop to my engagement. I will only take a break when I get pregnant. If I am not offered lead roles, I will do characters that suit my image but I won’t move away from the film industry. My wish is to act until my last breath,” said Krishnan.

As per a report in Tamil FilmiBeat which is yet to be confirmed as well, 
Vijay may give Rs 250 crore alimony to his wife and maintenance for their children. The report further stated that the divorce plea will be withdrawn if both parties reach a mutual agreement.

Last year,  
Thalapathy Vijay was addressing a crowd of over 3 lacs at his political rally in the Tamil Nadu municipality Karur that later turned berserk and led to a stampede. As per reports, the death toll rose to 39. Vijay has finally tweeted about the unfortunate incident on X.

Thalapathy Vijay wrote- “I am heartbroken; I am writhing in unbearable, indescribable pain and sorrow. I express my deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of our dear brothers and sisters who lost their lives in Karur. I pray for a speedy recovery for those undergoing treatment in the hospital.”
