Update: New information for Yasmine and Arjun revealed as the newcomer DLC for Street Fighter 6 Season 4
Update: Capcom has now released a few more details for Arjun like they previously did with Yasmine, which has been added to our story below.
Street Fighter 6 fans were certainly caught off-guard by the game’s Season 4 reveal considering the pass is made up of Final Fantasy’s Tifa Lockhart and three newcomers, so everyone is going to have to get to know a whole new cast of characters.
Capcom has now revealed a few new details about the first Season 4 DLC character on her way to Street Fighter, Yasmine.
Update: Like Yasmine’s post yesterday, the Japanese Street Fighter social media account included some more information regarding the second DLC character in Season 4.
“Arjun: A former Indian police officer accused of murdering a colleague and now on the run. A passionate man who upholds justice, embarking on a journey to find the real culprit.”
“Fighting Style: Stegoro Yoga. A rogue’s fist that harnesses superhuman lung capacity through yoga breathing to unleash astonishing power.”
The bit about his fighting style being Stegoro Yoga is new on the English side of things, but we’re not sure if that’s a real practice like Yasmine’s martial arts.
It does sound like his yoga technique is different from Dhalsim’s since it focuses more on breathing than meditating poses and stretching limbs.
Although his name is different as well, we do wonder if his story will be connected to the police officer Dhalsim was shown trying to teach yoga in Street Fighter 5.

Original story: The company shared some social media posts regarding Yasmine’s background, and while the English version says what we already knew last week, the Japanese post has a bit more to share.
“Yasmine: From the Philippines,” reads the Japanese Street Fighter post when translated. “A girl who plunged into the world of street fighting to search for her missing older brother. She fights with practical techniques passed down from her grandfather. Normally, she’s a shy high school girl.”
“Fighting Style: Eskrima, Silat. She wields the karambit knife, characterized by its half-moon-shaped blade, with mastery, bewildering opponents with her speed.”
The first part is basically what we were already told before in her character description, so the newer details are found in the latter.

That is revealing that her fighting styles are specifically based on Eskrima and Silat since the animation already showed that she wields a karambit knife.
Eskrima, also known as Arnis or Kali, is the national martial art of the Philippines, which of course makes perfect sense considering that’s where Yasmine as from as the first world warrior from the country.
This martial art focuses heavily on using weapons like the karambit as well as rattan sticks and bare hands to strike at opponents from optimal angles, trap them, and disarm them.
So while we don’t know exactly what Yasmine’s gameplay is going to be like just yet, we can make some assumptions that she’s probably going to have quick knife strikes and counters.
We can get a taste of what that could look like in Funker Tactical’s video here.
That also goes into her apparent use of Silat too, which is a collective martial art from different groups in Southeast Asia including the Philippines.
Silat has a heavy focus on self defense, and while there’s apparently over 100 different recognized styles, there is generally also emphasis placed on choreography and performance.
So this could point to Yasmine using some flashier movement of stances, though, we can’t say for certain that will be part of her toolkit at this point.
But either way, it sounds like Yasmine could be a pretty unique combatant in the Street Fighter world for her style and use of a weapon.
Yasmine is going to be the first new Season 4 character, who we already know is scheduled to release on August 3, so there’s a good chance we could see her teaser trailer at Evo 2026 later this month.
Considering Capcom is done with World Tour content in Street Fighter 6 after Ingrid’s release, this should mean that teasers should be totally different than they were before — if they choose to still do teaser trailers at all this year.
Arjun will be following Yasmine in the Fall followed by Tifa in early 2027 and Bosch in Spring 2027.
We’ve included the official English character overviews for the Street Fighter 6 Season 4 characters below in case you haven’t seen them already.
Yasmine (Summer 2026), a highschooler hailing from the Philippines joins the fight to search for her long-lost brother. Despite her shy and gentle demeanor, Yasmine beams with confidence whenever she uses her crescent-shaped karambit knife to dance around her opponents at high speed just like her Lolo taught her.
Arjun (Autumn 2026) uses extraordinary lung capacity combined with yogic breathing to unleash explosive power with his unique Bare-knuckle Yoga techniques. While working as a police officer in India Arjun was accused of killing a colleague and now lives on the run while he searches for the true culprit.
Tifa (Early 2027) is a highly skilled practitioner of Zangan-ryu Martial Arts and a member of the “Avalanche” resistance group. During her journey with her companions, she is unexpectedly transported to another world where she encounters and bonds with new fighters. Tifa excels in close-range combat, combining martial arts techniques with unique powers called Abilities.
Bosch (Spring 2027) departed his home nation of Nayshall to pursue the true meaning of strength and eventually wins the sacred martial arts tournament. His travels brought him to Metro City where he trained under Luke to incorporate modern combat methods into the ancient techniques of Nayshall’s warrior faith.
