Two More Big Xbox Series X|S Sequels Have Just Been Confirmed For Summer 2026

Yesterday was pretty busy for Xbox news and release dates for upcoming Xbox titles in particular, so we didn’t get a chance to highlight two big Xbox Series X|S sequels that have just been confirmed for Summer 2026!

The first of these is Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, which expands from three to four player co-op and promises “deeper team-based mechanics”, “new and improved classes”, a “massive variety of new xenomorphs”, and various other improvements. There’s no release date beyond just a “Summer 2026” window right now, but there is an official reveal trailer that you can watch lower down this article.

The second sequel is The Sinking City 2, which had already been revealed prior to this week (and was originally planned to release in 2025), but it now has a Summer 2026 release window as well. The new gameplay reveal trailer is linked down below, and it seems quite an evolution over the original in terms of the visual vibe it’s going for.

We’ll share more details for both of these down below, along with those all-important trailers!

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 (Summer 2026)

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last.

The Sinking City 2 (Summer 2026)

The Sinking City 2 is a terrifying Lovecraftian journey, powered by Unreal Engine 5. Experience a heart-pounding survival horror as you explore the flooded city of Arkham and fight eldritch monsters beyond human comprehension.
