
India’s passenger vehicle market recorded a strong performance in November 2025, with the top 10 cars collectively posting 21% YoY growth, rising from 1,44,368 units to 1,74,783 units. Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Mahindra continued to dominate the leaderboard, with several models posting double-digit gains.
Top 10 Cars Nov 2025 – YoY
Tata Nexon, including the EV, once again secured the top spot with 22,434 units, a robust 46.35% YoY growth compared to 15,329 units last year. The model’s wide powertrain choices and consistent demand kept it ahead of rivals. In second place, Maruti Dzire delivered a stellar performance with 21,082 units, recording a massive 78.98% growth as the compact sedan continues its strong urban and fleet appeal.


At No. 3, the Maruti Swift sold 19,733 units, growing 33.90% YoY, driven by the new generation model’s popularity. Tata’s Punch and Punch EV followed with 18,753 units, achieving 21.50% growth, strengthening Tata’s presence in the micro-SUV category. Taking the fifth spot, Hyundai Creta and Creta EV registered 17,344 units, marking a 12.24% increase, ahead of its generation change expected next year.
Next, Maruti Ertiga maintained steady demand in the MPV segment with 16,197 units, up 6.91% YoY. At seventh position, Mahindra Scorpio and Scorpio N continued their strong momentum with 15,616 units, translating to 22.92% growth as the brand ramps up production to match high demand.

Maruti’s crossover Fronx secured eighth place with 15,058 units, reporting marginal growth of 1.18%, while the ever-popular Wagon R followed with 14,619 units, up 4.56% YoY. The only model in the top 10 to post a decline was the Maruti Brezza, which sold 13,947 units, down 6.51% YoY, slipping to the tenth spot amid rising competition.
Top 10 SUVs Nov 2025 – YoY
At the top of the list, Tata Nexon and Nexon EV led the SUV segment with 22,434 units, achieving a strong 46.35% YoY growth, retaining its position as India’s highest-selling SUV. The second spot was secured by Tata Punch and Punch EV, which recorded 18,753 units, growing 21.50% YoY, driven by strong demand across metros and smaller cities.


In third place, the Hyundai Creta and Creta EV posted 17,344 units, marking 12.24% growth, ahead of the upcoming next-gen model. Following closely, Mahindra Scorpio and Scorpio N registered 15,616 units, delivering a healthy 22.92% YoY increase, maintaining their popularity among buyers seeking rugged SUVs. Maruti Fronx stayed steady in fifth position with 15,058 units, witnessing marginal but positive growth of 1.18%.
Maruti Brezza took the sixth spot with 13,947 units, the only SUV in the top 10 to record a decline, slipping 6.51% YoY. A major highlight this month is the entry of Victoris, which debuted impressively with 12,300 units, instantly marking its presence in the highly competitive SUV market. Meanwhile, the Kia Sonet registered 12,051 units, showing 30.21% growth, followed by Hyundai Venue at 11,645 units, growing 19.39% YoY.

The Maruti Grand Vitara continued its stable run with 11,339 units, up 11.74% YoY, while Mahindra XUV 3XO recorded one of its best months with 10,601 units, up 38.47%. The evergreen Mahindra Bolero performed strongly with 10,521 units, marking a sharp 49.34% YoY jump. Mahindra Thar and Thar ROXX contributed 10,234 units, growing 17.52% YoY as lifestyle SUVs continued gaining traction.
Further down the list, Toyota Hyryder posted 7,393 units, delivering strong 52.21% growth despite limited hybrid supply. Kia Seltos followed with 6,305 units, up 17.54% YoY, while Mahindra XUV700 recorded 6,176 units, a notable 32.13% decline, likely due to production transitions ahead of the upcoming facelift (XUV7XO).
