A new balance update was released for Street Fighter 6 earlier this month. Some of the main goals of this patch were focused on adjustments for Mai, Sagat and Elena.
This was actually a somewhat significant update since Mai received noteworthy nerfs while Sagat and Elena were graced with some buffs to their respective kits. This has prompted Chico, an Egyptian-German competitor known for being one of the best Sagat users, to release a new tier list for Street Fighter 6.
Ryu, JP and Mai are said to be the top three characters in the game right now. It’s interesting to note that Chico has declared that this is an ordered tier list, indicating that Ryu has risen to the top one position.
In Chico’s previous tier list back in October (before the release of C. Viper), Chico marked Sagat as a B tier combatant. The quality of life adjustments to Sagat in the latest update were enough to bring him into A tier.
It’s a similar story with Elena as she has risen from B tier to A tier as well. However, the buffs for Sagat were more noteworthy as he has had an even greater rise.
E. Honda and Lily are still said to be the worst overall characters in Street Fighter 6 right now. Unlike Sagat and Elena, these two did not receive any help with the new patch, so their positions remain unchanged.
