The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy Anniversary Reveals Stage Play, Manga, And Book


Aniplex and TooKyo Games have shared new details for The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy as part of the game’s first anniversary celebration, including a stage play adaptation, manga serialization, and an upcoming setting materials book.

The announcements were revealed during the game’s anniversary event, alongside a newly released lyric video for the in-game song “Sedum.” The video includes major story spoilers.

The first manga adaptation is set to begin serialization in winter 2026 via Manga UP!. The project will feature composition by Tsukueni and artwork by Ejeu.

A stage play adaptation has also been confirmed. Titled Extreme Selection Theater HUNDRED LINE -Final Defense Academy-, it will run from August 8 through August 16, 2026, at the Tennozu Galaxy Theater in Tokyo. The production will feature multiple story routes based on the game’s different endings, along with an ending not from the game.

The performance stars Shin Tamura as Takumi Sumino, with direction by Rinnou Kako and a script handled by the Spacenoid Writer’s Room team. Ticket options include standard seating and a premium tier that includes a newly written prequel novel supervised by Kazutaka Kodaka.

Lastly, an official setting materials book has also been announced, which will include additional character details and behind-the-scenes information not previously shared.
