It’s that time of year when all the people you still begrudgingly follow from high school share their Spotify Wrapped playlists on Instagram. Apparently, that group includes White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who shared her top-five artists to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday. Rounding out an unsurprising mix of problematic country bros (Morgan Wallen coming in at No. 1, naturally) and Christian artists was one notable surprise in the No. 5 spot: President Donald Trump’s sworn enemy Taylor Swift.
Swift and Trump have had a mostly one-sided contentious relationship for several years now. After transparently sharing “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” last year once Swift endorsed Kamala Harris, Trump more recently called the singer “no longer ‘HOT’” on Truth Social in May. So is Leavitt, who seems willing to parrot almost all of Trump’s fascist talking points to the greater public, outing herself as a Swiftie?
Given Swift’s sizable conservative fan base, it’s not a huge surprise that Leavitt might be into her — Trump’s feuds be damned. She certainly wouldn’t be the only woman in Trump’s inner circle who likes Swift: Ivanka Trump took her daughter to the Eras Tour last year. I bet they all love “Cancelled.”
