Upcoming Tata 4X4 SUVs – Tata Sierra EV

After the success of the Sierra, the Sierra EV is due to be launched in May. This will be a major launch as the Sierra is likely to disrupt the EV car space not just with its pricing, but also with the tech it will offer. At the moment, JSW MG Windsor is the best-selling EV in India, and Sierra has the potential to disrupt it. As the Sierra has good road presence, space and features too. It also gets a lot of premium tech, which will make it an exciting option for many to consider. There will be 2 battery packs on the Sierra, with each offering 350km and about 450km of real-life range. This will make the Sierra differentiate from the competition, and Tata Motors will price it in the range of Rs 14-23 lakhs approx. Tata Motors will get an extra advantage with this pricing; however, we will still have to see how many variants will be available for 4×4. We expect the top 2 variants will likely get it.

It isn’t just feature-rich, it is also powerful and spacious too. Tata Motors will be looking at offering the Safari EV with some more extra features like front and rear camera wash and some more extra features – possibly even seat thigh extension. Tata’s New Off-Roader

Tata Motors is working on an off-roader SUV that will compete with the Thar family. This will be a 4-door model only, but the initial plan was to launch it just as an electric, however we do expect it to have an ICE version. This will be a boxy-looking SUV, and we can expect it to get the Sumo badge back. Tata’s third biggest SUV badge that was discontinued in 2019.
