Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (TMPV) has announced a price hike across its passenger vehicle portfolio, including both ICE and electric vehicles. The revised prices will come into effect from July 1, 2026, with the increase being up to 1.5%, depending on the model and variant.
The company said the decision has been taken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and persistent inflationary pressures. While Tata Motors has continued to absorb a significant portion of the increased costs, it has now decided to pass on part of the burden to customers.
Price Hike To Impact ICE And EV Lineup
The upcoming price revision will apply to Tata Motors’ entire passenger vehicle range. This includes popular ICE models such as Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, Safari and Sierra, along with the company’s growing electric vehicle portfolio comprising Tiago EV, Punch EV, Curvv EV, Nexon EV and Harrier EV.
Tata Motors stated that the extent of the increase will vary depending on the model and variant. The company emphasized that it remains committed to maintaining the overall value proposition of its vehicles despite the price adjustment. Exact price hike of each model and variant will be revealed soon.
Second Price Revision This Year
The latest announcement comes at a time when automakers across the industry continue to face higher raw material costs, logistics expenses and inflation-related challenges. Manufacturers have increasingly relied on periodic price revisions to manage cost pressures while balancing customer demand. For prospective buyers considering a Tata car or SUV, the remaining weeks of June could offer an opportunity to purchase at current prices before the revised rates come into effect from July 1.
Tata Continues Product Offensive In 2026
The price hike announcement coincides with an aggressive product rollout strategy by Tata Motors this year. Since the beginning of 2026, the company has launched several new and updated products including Sierra ICE, Harrier Petrol, Safari Petrol, Punch facelift, Punch EV facelift, Tiago facelift and Tiago EV facelift.
Tata is also preparing for the debut of Sierra EV later this month, further strengthening its presence in India’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle market. More details regarding the revised prices across individual models are expected closer to the July 1 implementation date.
