Social media influencer arrested, accused of refusing to pay for almost $400 of food at restaurant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) – A social media influencer was arrested after allegedly refusing to pay for almost $400 worth of food from a Nashville restaurant.

Dalton Eatherly, also known as “Chud the Builder,” was arrested on May 9. According to an arrest affidavit, Eatherly, who films content, including racially charged content on Broadway, was asked by the restaurant not to livestream or be disruptive for dining service.

After ordering two full entrees, drinks and appetizers, totaling $371.55, the restaurant realized he had been livestreaming and asked him to stop.

Allegedly, he became disruptive, made racial statements, and began to yell and cause a scene, according to the affidavit.

After that, he reportedly made statements that he would not be paying for the food he ate.

Eatherly was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and theft of services. He was placed under a $5,000 bond.
