Scout Selection: Best Fantasy team for Double Gameweek 36

See the dream line-up, which features a Man City triple-up and two Palace players as both teams benefit from TWO matches

As the only sides with two matches in Double Gameweek 36 (DGW36) of Fantasy Premier League, Manchester City and Crystal Palace supply a combined five players in the best line-up.

There’s a triple-up on Man City for their two home matches against Brentford and Palace, with Erling Haaland (£14.6m) joined by his in-form team-mates Rayan Cherki (£6.6m) and Nico O’Reilly (£5.2m).

Investment has been limited to the Palace defence due to heavy rotation in attack recently, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson (£5.1m) and centre-back Maxence Lacroix (£5.2m) hosting Everton prior to their visit to Man City.

There are also double-ups on Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion for their matches against bottom-three opponents.

Gunners pair Gabriel (£7.2m) and Bukayo Saka (£9.9m) travel to West Ham United, while Brighton’s Pascal Gross (£5.5m) and Danny Welbeck (£6.3m) are at home to relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Haaland is handed the armband, with O’Reilly named as vice-captain.

Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace) £5.1m

The Palace goalkeeper is one of only three players to feature from start to finish in each of their last four league matches. Henderson sits in fourth place in the goalkeeper standings on 126 points and has the chance of climbing into second spot if he keeps at least one clean sheet in DGW36.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £7.2m

The Brazilian’s multiple routes to returns have helped him establish a 29-point lead at the top of the defender standings on 191 points. Gabriel visits West Ham in very consistent, all-round form – he has blanked just once across his last seven appearances, combining two assists with four clean sheets, six defensive contribution points and nine bonus points.

Maxence Lacroix (Crystal Palace) £5.2m

The centre-back is the only Palace player to start and also earn defensive contribution points in each of their last four matches. Notably, Palace have conceded just a single goal over their last four contests at Selhurst Park, suggesting a clean sheet could be on the cards in their first match of DGW36 against Everton.

Nico O’Reilly (Man City) £5.2m

O’Reilly has been in great for of late, returning 37 points across his last three home appearances, scoring three goals and supplying an assist, in addition to collecting a clean sheet and six bonus points. If you’re chasing in your mini-league, O’Reilly’s huge upside makes him a very appealing captain alternative to Haaland.

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) £10.4m

Manchester United’s talisman has now produced an attacking return in eight successive Gameweeks ahead Red Devils’ visit to Sunderland. Facing a Black Cats side who conceded five goals in their last match at the Stadium of Light, Fernandes can reward his 47 per cent ownership with another big haul this weekend.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £9.9m

The winger made an immediate impact on his return to Arsenal’s line-up last weekend, scoring and assisting in their 3-0 win over Fulham. Having also scored the decisive goal in their 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, Saka’s influence could prove telling once again when the Gunners travel to West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Rayan Cherki (Man City) £6.6m

The Frenchman has had 17 shots and created 14 chances across Man City’s last four matches, which means he was involved in a total of 31 shots – that’s one more than the COMBINED 30 of his midfield rivals Antoine Semenyo (£8.1m) and Jeremy Doku (£6.4m). Cherki matched the 13 points of Haaland and O’Reilly in Double Gameweek 33 and his potential for both goals and assists makes him another great armband alternative if you need to take risks in your mini-league.

Pascal Gross (Brighton) £5.5m

Since making his second full debut for Brighton in Gameweek 21, Gross is their top-scoring player in Fantasy, with a goal and five assists helping him to 66 points. The German’s big share of set-pieces have helped him create 34 chances during that spell – more than twice the total of any team-mate – and boost his appeal as a budget midfield pick at home to relegated Wolves.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.6m

Man City’s talisman finally looks back to his very best and has scored in three successive Premier League matches for the first time since Gameweeks 6-8. Haaland is near-certain to be the most-selected captain in DGW36 due to his hefty 62 per cent ownership and will also be heavily-backed by those managers playing their Triple Captain chip. If you don’t need to take any risks in your mini-league with just three Gameweeks of 2025/26 Fantasy remaining, then captain Haaland.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £8.8m

Having only appeared as a substitute in Gameweek 35, the forward is expected to return to Aston Villa’s starting line-up at relegated Burnley. Watkins has amassed 29 points across his last four starts, scoring three goals and supplying an assist.

Danny Welbeck (Brighton) £6.3m

Brighton’s forward has the chance to deliver a big haul at home to Wolves this weekend. Welbeck has scored three goals over his last two starts at Amex Stadium, claiming 21 points.
