Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra Could Launch on February 25: What to Expect

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series later this month, with leaks and rumours already revealing key details about the upcoming flagship lineup. Reports suggest notable upgrades across the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra, hinting at potential design, performance, and feature changes. While Samsung has yet to confirm specifics, the steady flow of leaks has offered a clearer picture of what to expect from its next-generation smartphones.

Samsung is reportedly planning a noticeable design refresh for the Galaxy S26 series, with leaks pointing to a unified camera module similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature more rounded corners, a slimmer 7.9mm profile, and new colour options, including a purple variant alongside black, white, and silver. Display sizes are tipped at 6.3 inches for the Galaxy S26, 6.7 inches for the S26 Plus, and 6.9 inches for the S26 Ultra, with all models likely using Samsung’s new M14 AMOLED panels for better visuals and efficiency.

A standout addition could be a built-in screen privacy feature on the Galaxy S26 Ultra that blocks sensitive content from onlookers directly at the display level, eliminating the need for privacy screen protectors. This feature is expected to debut exclusively on the Ultra model, adding a practical layer of security for users.

On the performance front, Samsung is expected to continue with a split-chipset strategy for the Galaxy S26 lineup. Depending on the region, the phones may be powered by either Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It remains unclear which variant will be launched in India.

In terms of cameras and battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to retain a familiar camera setup with a 200MP main sensor, while the S26 and S26 Plus may stick close to their predecessors. Battery capacities are tipped at 5,000mAh for the Ultra, 4,300mAh for the S26, and 4,900mAh for the S26 Plus, with possible upgrades to 60W wired charging and Qi2 wireless charging support. The Galaxy S26 series is rumoured to launch at a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026, with pricing expected to remain similar to the Galaxy S25 lineup.
