Samsung Foldables Tipped to Debut Google’s Gemini Intelligence: What We Know So Far – Firstpost

A series of new reports circulating online suggest that the new Gemini intelligence features could debut first on Samsung’s upcoming foldables. According to fresh reports, the advanced Gemini AI suite may arrive on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 as early as July.

This would mean that the new Gemini intelligence features could appear on Samsung devices before Google’s own Pixel lineup. Previously, features like “Circle to Search” made their debut on the Galaxy S24 series first.

Gemini Intelligence stands apart from a typical chatbot, as it is designed as a system-wide AI layer intended to make Android more proactive and context-aware. Instead of users switching between multiple apps, Gemini works in the background, assisting with commands and prompts as needed.

Recently revealed Gemini Intelligence features are expected to include a range of capabilities such as:

App automation: Gemini can retrieve information from Gmail to schedule appointments or add items to shopping carts across different apps. It may also integrate with other services to streamline everyday tasks.

Rambler for Gboard: This tool helps refine live speech by removing stammers and filler words, streamlining communication while preserving the original meaning. Another expected feature is intelligent autofill, which can pull relevant data from connected Google apps to complete online forms more efficiently.

Create My Widget: Users will be able to design custom home screen widgets simply by describing what they want using text prompts.

All of these features are expected to be part of the Android 16-based One UI 9 update. The next Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for July 22, and these new AI features could be showcased as part of the launch.
