Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru began a new chapter on December 1 at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, where the two tied the knot in an intimate, traditional ceremony. While social media has been buzzing about the low-key wedding, a warm moment from Raj’s family has now caught attention.
Raj’s sister, Sheetal Nidimoru, shared a family photo from the ceremony and posted an emotional note about what the day meant to her. Samantha later reacted to the post with a heartfelt “Love you ❤️🥺.”
What Raj’s sister wrote
In her long note, Sheetal described being overwhelmed with emotion during a ritual. She wrote that as she prayed, she found herself embracing the Shivalingam “with a heart full of tears.” She also went on to reflect on the “clarity” and “gentle alignment” she felt around their family as Samantha and Raj walked into this new phase together.
In the next part of her note, she spoke about watching the couple take part in the rituals, describing it as a moment where “life aligned itself in the most beautiful way.” She wrote that some relationships don’t just happen — “they arrive with peace.”
Toward the end, Sheetal revealed a small prayer she made while lighting sesame oil lamps: that everyone may find a love that feels “this peaceful, this steady, and this right.”
A new beginning for Samantha and Raj
Samantha and Raj Nidimoru reportedly grew close after working together on The Family Man 2, where Samantha played Raji. Their connection deepened during the production of Citadel: Honey Bunny, eventually leading to their relationship.
For the wedding, Samantha opted for a stunning red silk saree by Arpita Mehta, paired with classic gold jewellery. She styled her hair in a sleek bun adorned with a gajra, keeping her bridal look rooted in tradition while choosing a minimal mehendi design for understated elegance. Raj Nidimoru complemented her beautifully in a Tarun Tahiliani ensemble, a handwoven silk kurta with a classic churidar.
Samantha’s past marriage to Naga Chaitanya
Before her marriage to Raj, Samantha was married to actor Naga Chaitanya. The two tied the knot in 2017 and announced their separation in October 2021. Since then, Naga Chaitanya has moved on and is now married to actress Sobhita Dhulipala.
