Bruno Fernandes and Matthijs de Ligt were among the absentees for United in the 1-1 draw with Wolves at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening’s Premier League tie.

De Ligt has not featured in the Premier League for the Red Devils since last November in United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Fernandes became the latest high-profile absentee for United, with the Red Devils skipper missing the last two Premier League matches due to a hamstring injury.

Ruben Amorim’s major injury news for Man Utd ahead of the Premier League clash against Leeds United

Bruno Fernandes and Matthijs de Ligt have been on the sidelines alongside Manchester United trio Mason Mount, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo.

Mason Mount suffered an injury setback in United’s 1-0 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford after he came off at half-time in the Premier League match.

Kobbie Mainoo has not featured for United since the 4-4 draw against Bournemouth at Old Trafford in December, with the midfielder sidelined due to a calf injury.

Harry Maguire, much like fellow United defender De Ligt, has not played for the Red Devils since last November after he suffered a thigh injury against Tottenham.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Ruben Amorim revealed there were no injury changes compared with the Wolves match.

“We are going [to Leeds] with no different issues,” he said, as per the Manchester Evening News.

“We shall see tomorrow; we have more training. I don’t think anyone is going to recover but we will see.”

United manager Amorim has been limited with his team selection amid the Red Devils players being sidelined and others being away at the 2025 AFCON tournament.

During his press conference at the Carrington training complex, Amorim was asked if United were actually improving in terms of quality under his reign at Old Trafford.

“We are playing better when we have the full squad. We are clearly attacking better,” he said.

“We have not been good enough in the details.

“We should have more points in the moment, but of course, we are always wanting more and, again, we should have more points in the table.”

United and Leeds United’s Premier League clash at Elland Road is slated for a 12:30pm kick-off time in the UK on Sunday.
