Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo is set to miss Saturday’s La Liga clash with Alaves for Hansi Flick’s side.
The Uruguay international was sent off in midweek against Chelsea in the Champions League defeat and has not been in full training for the last two days, according to AS.
Hansi Flick offered an update on the defender at his pre-match conference and explained why he’s out of hte game.
“He has a stomach virus. He’s out of training today and will also miss tomorrow’s match,” he told reporters.
“We’re all feeling down. The defeat against Chelsea was tough. We thought we could have won. We have to be optimistic for the next match.”
Andreas Christensen could come into the team to replace Araujo, although Flick was giving nothing away when asked about the Dane, adding: “We’ll see, I don’t usually like to talk about the possible starting eleven.”
Flick will also be without Fermin Lopez on Saturday, after he was ruled out for two weeks with a calf problem, but Pedri has been training this week and should be in the squad.
