Suriya’s next theatrical outing will be Karuppu. The film is directed by actor-turned-filmmaker RJ Balaji. The teaser received a solid response, and the movie was completed long ago. However, there has been no clarity about the release date so far, and the silence from the makers has been getting on the nerves of fans.
Industry buzz earlier suggested that the film would release on April 10, but that is no longer the case. RJ Balaji has now confirmed that the movie will not arrive on that date. He said, “We won’t take much time. A big update will be out in another 7–10 days, and every doubt will be cleared. Definitely, it’s not coming on April 10. I also saw memes claiming there are internal differences within the team. I understand your disappointment, but the wait will definitely be worth it.”
So, the film will take a little longer to hit the big screens, which is not something Suriya fans anticipated. As per the latest speculation, the movie might now arrive in May.
Trisha plays the female lead. The project is produced by S. R. Prakash Babu and S. R. Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. Sai Abhyankkar, the latest musical sensation, is composing the soundtrack.
