WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that WWE is planning on a big push for Chad Gable heading into SummerSlam.
The former tag champion is coming off a long run as El Grande Americano, losing his mask as the “Original” after a loss in AAA and returning to WWE in a favorable position on television.
Internal support for Gable remains strong, with several people within the company reportedly advocating for the former Olympian to have a prominent role at the upcoming PLE taking place in his hometown.
WWE SummerSlam emanates from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2.
