Don 3 Controversy: FWICE recently issued a directive against Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer Singh has shared his first post amid the controversy surrounding his exit from Don 3. As his row with Farhan Akhtar continues to get more intense, especially with the involvement of FWICE, Ranveer has chosen to stay silent on the matter and focus on the positive things in his life, like meeting Arsenal’s Declan Rice.
Ranveer Singh took to his Instagram Stories and shared a happy photo with Declan. He wrote, “About last night,” with heart emojis. He also added the song, Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan, to the photo. Why Did FWICE ‘Ban’ Ranveer Singh?
For the unversed, the film body issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh on May 25 for his alleged abrupt exit from Don 3. The federation claimed that the actor did not respond to multiple requests to appear in person and explain his side of the story. Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, which is backing Don 3, has also demanded Rs 45 crore from Ranveer as compensation for pre-production expenses incurred before his exit.
Ranveer Singh’s Response
Following the ‘ban’, Ranveer’s spokesperson issued a statement that said that the actor does not wish to add to the speculation and believes such professional disagreements are best handled privately. “Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect,” a part of the statement read.
Salman Khan Tries To Resolve Fight?
Meanwhile, Salman Khan has reportedly stepped in and asked Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar to resolve their fight. “Salman Khan is fond of Ranveer Singh, and is equally fond of the Akhtars too. He picked up the call on both the stakeholders, and has asked them to resolve their issues without hurting the future of their respective projects,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
He explained to Farhan about creative differences being a common thing in the industry for decades, and he also had a long chat with Ranveer, understanding his stance. He is playing the cupid to ensure that no one feels sabotaged,” the source also mentioned. Reportedly, Ranveer wanted a darker and more aggressive version of the character, including stronger language and heightened violence, while Farhan wanted to stay closer to his original vision.
Is Pralay Delayed Amid Don 3 Controversy?
The ‘ban’ by FWICE had also put a spotlight on Ranveer’s upcoming film, Pralay. Fans were concerned about the future of the project amid the controversy. However, sources have said that the film will not face delays due to this. If a report by Bombay Times is to be believed, Ranveer Singh will begin shooting for Jai Mehta’s directorial in August this year.
