Ranking The Films Of Steven Spielberg

Universal Pictures

With “Disclosure Day” in cinemas, filmmaker Steven Spielberg has been appearing across various media outlets where a bunch of his past work has been discussed and debated.

Today I’ve done a ranked list of his directorial efforts, from downright cinematic classics like “Jaws,” ‘Raiders’ and “Schindler’s List” to duds like “1941,” “The BFG,” and “The Terminal” with a variety of films in between.

Judging from aggregate lists and others, I definitely have a soft spot for some of his early 2000s efforts like “Munich,” “Minority Report,” and “Catch Me If You Can,” and less so some pre-1990s titles deemed classics like “ET,” “Empire of the Sun” or “The Sugarland Express”.

After 2010, he’s delivered a few real bangers like his new take on “West Side Story,” the underrated “Bridge of Spies” and a well-done take on “Tintin,” but others I didn’t warm to like “Ready Player One” or “War Horse”.

What’s your ranking? Have your say in the comments below and tell us which titles of his you seem to like or dislike more than others.
