A recent visual effects error in Naagin 7 triggered a wave of online reactions, but what stood out just as much as the criticism was the response from producer Ekta Kapoor. Instead of distancing herself from the issue, Ekta chose to openly support a key member of her team, making it clear where her loyalty lies.

The controversy began after viewers spotted an obvious blue screen in a scene featuring Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who plays Ahana in the show. The moment, intended to be a high intensity action sequence, quickly went viral for the wrong reasons. Screenshots circulated widely, with many questioning the quality control and overall production standards of the show.

As criticism grew, Ekta addressed the situation in her own way by sharing a candid video with her long time editor, Vicky. Rather than issuing a conventional clarification, she used the moment to highlight his contribution and dedication over the years. In the video, she said, “Meet Vicky ji, inke blue screen ke charche pure Bombay main hain abhi. I can change a lover, but I can’t change Vicky ji from my life. Chahe main 50 shows banaun, mere saare shows main Vicky ji ek haath toh maarte hain. He is the best editor in the country. Apologise to this man, he’s the best in the business. Vicky ji, you are great. Be it Naagin or Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, this man has edited every show of ours for 20 years.

She further added, “Directors change, writers change, but for us there’s only one man who does all our work, Vicky ji. Even if we have 50 shows, there’s only one editor. Isliye shayad zayada kaam de diya. Inko puri raat hum awake rakhte hain. He is the best.” Her heartfelt words clearly moved the editor, who appeared emotional in the video.

Ekta’s reaction offered a different perspective amid the criticism, shifting the conversation from a single mistake to the larger idea of teamwork and long term collaboration. While the glitch itself drew attention to production lapses, her public show of support emphasized the value she places on loyalty and consistency within her team.
