Sony wants you to play on the PS5 obviously, but it’s more than happy to let you use your DualSense controller on the PC.
Unfortunately, there are limitations when connecting a DualSense to a computer, but one industrious app developer is working to overcome them.
A new beta release for DSX is showing immense promise, unlocking the full capabilities of the PS5 pad wirelessly over Bluetooth, for the first time.
Without the app, you need to hook up your controller via USB to unlock advanced haptic feedback features in supported games, but this new version aims to resolve that. It can also send native audio to the controller, too.
The v3.2 version of the app comes with a variety of other improvements which fans mostly seem pleased with, but it’s the full DualSense functionality over Bluetooth that’s exciting most. Obviously this is still in beta, so may still require some finessing before it’s in full working order.
