Prince Louis is 8!
Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated their youngest child’s birthday on Thursday by sharing never-before-seen footage of the little one at the beach.
In the playful video, Louis dug in the sand, ran toward the water and took a dip in a wetsuit.
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes for Prince Louis,” his parents captioned the upload. “8 is great!”
Earlier that same day, the duo shared a new portrait of Louis via Instagram.
He was all smiles on a boat in the sweet snap, posing with his arms crossed in a blue half-zip pullover.
“Happy birthday, Louis!” the couple wrote. “8 today! 🎈”
While Middleton, 44, is frequently behind the camera for her kids‘ birthday snaps, she tagged Matt Porteous as this year’s photographer.
The Princess of Wales and her husband, 43, are also the parents of son Prince George, 12, and daughter Princess Charlotte, 10.
The couple has been married since April 2011.
On Thursday, King Charles’ Instagram account re-posted Louis’ portrait via Stories.
“Happy birthday to Prince Louis!” the monarch, 77, wrote.
Louis has a reputation for being the cheekiest royal, often making headlines for his antics at public events.
Most recently, the little one stole the show during his family’s Christmas walk at Sandringham in December 2025.
Louis, notably, snatched a massive Lindt chocolate from his dad’s hands, causing William to laugh.
In May 2023, Louis was photographed yawning at Charles’ coronation.
During Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee the previous year, he hilariously covered his ears and yelled during the flypast.
William and Middleton poked fun at Louis at the time, telling their Instagram followers they “all had an incredible time, especially Louis… 👀.”
