Despite the experience Pep Guardiola brings to this title-chasing party, the evidence on show in Manchester City’s 3-3 draw at Everton has raised questions – for even the most die-hard of fans.

City supporter Rachel Herdson, who was at the Hill Dickinson last night, spoke to 5 Live Breakfast this morning about whether her title hopes had been dented:

“I’m clinging onto the vein hope that that point will be very vital come the end of the season. However, there’s no two ways about it, we can’t dress it up, the momentum has absolutely shifted.

“We’re relying on other teams doing us a massive favour now.

“I think some of what happens will be determined by what happens tonight with Arsenal in the Champions League – if they go out their heads might go down, they might get a few injuries, who knows?

“You can’t say it’s over and City have a habit of winning things in dramatic style, however it was disappointing last night.

“The game state triggered 15 minutes of madness, and as much as I love Nico Gonzalez, unfortunately Rodri offering that protection in the back four and that leadership was really missed last night.”
