NEW DELHI — India’s traditional, handcrafted leather sandals known as Kolhapuri chappals have hit the global spotlight with the luxury fashion brand Prada joining hands with the South Asian nation’s artisans for a “limited-edition collection” inspired by the timeless footwear, which is to go on sale in February.
