Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has revealed that there will be an upcoming expansion pack, named Pulsing Aura, which will add more Pokémon and Trainer cards to the game. This expansion pack will release later this month. The update will feature Pokémon that emphasise training and combat readiness, alongside new Supporter cards designed to influence match strategies.With this release, players will see the debut of Mega Lucario ex and Mega Sceptile ex, along with other Pokémon aligned with the expansion’s fighting theme. New Trainer cards, including Korrina and Arena of Antiquity, will also be added to provide additional gameplay options. The update continues the game’s rollout of new content aimed at expanding card collections and introducing new mechanics for players.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Pulsing Aura expansion : Release date and other details
The Pulsing Aura expansion will go live on April 27 at 6:00 p.m. PDT, followed by themed cosmetic updates on April 30, including covers and backdrops featuring Mega Lucario. These additions allow players to customise how they display their card collections within the game.One of the key changes with this expansion is the introduction of gold frames as a type of flair for three levels of rarity cards. Players can automatically unlock a gold frame by collecting 10 copies of the same card, and this feature will also apply retroactively to cards already owned in sufficient quantity. Additional gold frames can be obtained by using duplicate cards through the Obtain Flair system.The update will also introduce new Elite Deck Gift Missions, available from late April through July. The featured Elite Deck is a Fire-type deck that includes Mega Charizard Y ex from Crimson Blaze and Moltres ex from Genetic Apex.In addition, several in-game events are scheduled for April and May. Some of these events include the Special Event 2026, Handy Card Collection Missions, Community Week, Pulsing Aura Emblem Event, and Mega Heracross ex Drop Event. Through these events, players can earn promo cards and other in-game items.
