Pokémon Go Pikipek Community Day

Posted on

Pikipek is standing in the spotlight during Pokémon Go’s November Community Day event on Sunday 12th November from 2pm to 5pm (local time).

During November’s Community Day event, you’ll have the chance to catch both a shiny Pikipek and a Pikipek with 100% perfect IV stats.

While Pikipek isn’t our first pick for Community Day Pokémon, it does bring a brand-new shiny family for you to tick off, alongside a string of November Community Day bonuses, including the chance to boost your level thanks to the triple Catch XP bonus.

How to get shiny Pikipek

Shiny Pikipek makes its debut during its November 2025 Community Day event! This means that shiny Pikipek, shiny Trumbeak and shiny Toucannon will all be available as soon as the event begins. It’s not the most obvious shiny, but if you look at the eyes and the top of the head, you’ll see the colours change from blue and red to green and purple, respectively. The black feathers are also slightly grey, but that can be hard to spot on a phone screen outside!

Pikipek family and its shiny variants

The Woodpecker Pokémon Pikipek evolves into the Bugle Beak Pokémon, Trumbeak. It is angrier and has a pointier beak that starts orange, moves through red and ends in black. Its shiny version keeps the same colour profile, but adds a deeper purple in the beak and gold for its chest and eyebrows.

Finally, we have the Cannon Pokémon, Toucannon. We see what they did there… This Pokémon is even angrier. Just look at its eyes – it is not happy to see you. The beak adds more colours from tip to top, which is reflected in the shiny, which now adds a deep blue. All in all, they’re not terrible shinies, but we feel they would have been better saved for a summer’s day. Something about that beak is really making us crave popsicles…

Every Community Day sees the shiny odds for its chosen Pokémon – in this case Pikipek – increased. As such, you shouldn’t have much trouble tracking down a shiny Pikipek! Simply keep clicking on Pikipek until you see a shiny one – keep an eye out for the sparkle effect and the shiny icon next to its name, as it really can be difficult to spot in bright sunlight! If you want to increase your chances further, remember to use an Incense to boost the number of Pikipek spawns you encounter.

Pikipek 100% perfect stats in Pokémon Go

Pikipek

November’s Community Day is the perfect time to find a Pikipek with perfect IV stats. These are 15/15/15 stats you’re looking for to create a maxed out, 100% IV Pokémon, for your 4* Pokédex, raids and Master League.

If you’re at least Level 30 (or above), you’ll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Pikipek:

  • Level 30 (wild CP maximum) – 780 CP
  • Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum) – 845 CP

The wild CP value aligns with your Trainer Level until you reach Level 30 and, due to the majority of the player base now being above this level, we’ve kept to these values for the sake of simplicity. These values will, however, be different if you’re currently below Level 30.

Pikipek’s Community Day move

If you evolve a Trumbeak into Toucannon during the event or up to four hours afterwards your resulting Toucannon will learn Beak Blast – a powerful Flying-type Charged attack!

Ideally speaking, wait until the end of the event (or your play session) so you can evolve the Pokémon with the best IVs into the strongest Toucannon.

Everything in the Pikipek family is a Normal/Flying-type Pokémon.

Best Toucannon moveset recommendation in Pokémon Go

Youcannon win with Toucannon because Toucannon is mid at best.

Regular Toucannon is barely in the top 300 Pokémon in Great League and is approaching the top 200 in Ultra League – in both cases you can think of it as an even worse Dodrio. It doesn’t stand a chance in Master League.

So, does this Community Day event change anything? Beak Blast is a powerful move – more powerful than anything else Toucannon has access to. Assuming it is cheap enough to fire off, it will quickly enter this Pokémon’s recommended moveset. what we won’t know until it lands, however, is how cheap Blast Beak is to use. With that in mind, you’re probably looking at Peck as a Fast Move with Blast Beak and Rock Blast as Charged Moves.

If you are interested in using Toucannon, here’s its full Pokémon Go moveset:

Toucannon

Fast Moves

  • Bullet Seed (Grass)
  • Peck (Flying)
  • Rock Smash (Fighting)

Charged Moves

  • Beak Blast (Legacy, Flying)
  • Drill Peck (Flying)
  • Flash Cannon (Steel)
  • Rock Blast (Rock)

The Final Justice event is here to bring the Masterwork Research: Pony Tales quest and Resolute Form Keldeo.

There’s a lot to do in Pokémon Go outside of the current event! First, it’s worth learning about the level update. After this, you might want to fight in the Go Battle League, use Party Play, compete in a PokéStop Showcase or explore a Route for its Gift Exchange. Keep an eye out for rare Pokémon and don’t forget to collect Max Particles, so you can battle Dynamax Pokémon in Max Battles.
