The Current Scorpio N
Before talking about waiting, it is worth appreciating just how strong the current Scorpio N already is. The Mahindra Scorpio N is currently priced between Rs 16.20 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and Rs 30.40 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), making it one of the best value propositions in the ladder-frame SUV space. For that money, you get a genuine body-on-frame SUV with a tall commanding stance, brilliant road presence, three rows of seating, a 2.0-litre turbo petrol or 2.2-litre turbo diesel, and a proper 4WD system on higher diesel variants.
It already comes with Level 2 ADAS, dual-zone climate control, a Sony sound system, rear AC vents, and premium leatherette seats. The Scorpio N, along with the Scorpio Classic, became Mahindra’s best-selling model in March 2026, clocking 15,534 units, a clear sign of its strong popularity. Buyers continue to prefer the current generation for its bold design and muscular stance, while many are also mindful of a possible price hike, making the current discounts even more appealing.

Scorpio N Facelift – What’s New?
Here is where things get interesting. The Scorpio N facelift is expected to arrive around mid-2026, bringing updated headlamps, new bumpers, a refreshed grille, and new alloy wheels on the outside. The changes are not dramatic, think sharper, more premium-looking, rather than a completely new design.
Inside, the Scorpio N facelift is expected to feel more premium and tech-loaded, with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It could also get a 360-degree camera, a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, and a fully digital instrument cluster. Comfort is likely to improve with electrically adjustable front seats with memory function and ventilated seats for both the front and second row. Adding to the appeal, a panoramic sunroof has now been confirmed, as seen in recent test sightings.
Mechanically, the facelift will be identical to the current car, with the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing around 200 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, and the 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering up to 172 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Both engines will continue with manual and automatic options, along with 4WD on select diesel variants. So if you were hoping for a new engine or more power, that is not coming with this update.

How Much More Will You Pay? – Scorpio N Facelift 2026
Considering the current Scorpio N is priced between Rs 16.20 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and Rs 30.40 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the facelift is expected to range from Rs 17 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) to Rs 32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). a premium of roughly Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 over the current model, depending on the variant.

So Should You Buy Now Or Wait?
Buy the current Scorpio N right now if:
- You need the car urgently and cannot wait.
- You can negotiate a good discount on the current model at a dealership.
- The features missing in the current car, like a panoramic sunroof and a bigger screen, are not deal-breakers for you.
Wait for the facelift if:
- The panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, larger infotainment system, and Dolby Atmos audio matter to you.
- You are looking at a top-spec Z8 or Z8 L variant, where the feature upgrades will be most significant.
- Your purchase timeline allows you to wait until mid-to-late 2026.
