Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Box Office Collections: Ayushmann Khurrana’s rom-com mints Rs 12 crore in Week 2, cume hits Rs 40 crore mark

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do collected around Rs. 12.25 crore in its second week, with Rs. 1.60 crore coming on Thursday. The movie witnessed a nominal jump today due to the Eid al-Adha holiday. That’s a decent second week after its low opening of Rs. 3 crore. Allied to its first week of Rs. 28 crore, the 14-day cume now stands slightly over the Rs. 40 crore nett mark at the Indian box office.

The romantic comedy drama, directed by Mudassar Aziz, should aim for a good spike in the third weekend, since there is no significant new release this weekend. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakulpreet Singh, the rom-com is heading to wind up its entire run around Rs. 50 crore nett mark. Though it will not change the fate of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, it will still be somewhat face-saving. However, the movie involves some feedings, which means its final collections should be taken with an asterisk.

For the unversed, the original film was a Clean Hit at the box office. The Kartik Aaryan starrer had a full run of Rs. 80 crore nett in India, which is now a tough mark to achieve for rom-coms releasing in the post-2020 era. Had this film been released in the pre-2020 era, it likely would have done much better at the box office.

The Day-wise Box Office Collections of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do are as follows:

Week 1  Rs. 28.00 cr.

2nd Friday Rs. 1.30 cr.
2nd Saturday Rs. 2.50 cr.
2nd Sunday Rs. 3.25 cr.
2nd Monday Rs. 1.20 cr.
2nd Tuesday  Rs. 1.30 cr.
2nd Wednesday Rs. 1.10 cr.
