The air is feeling electric as we approach the 2026 World Championships, and Play! Pokémon is ready to kick off the celebration early! From August 21 to August 30, Play! Pokémon Stores will host 2026 Worlds Celebration tournaments, where you can battle fellow Pokémon Trainers and make new friends at your local Play! Pokémon Store.
Participating Trainers will earn a Pokémon Trading Card Game promo card featuring Pikachu and a San Francisco-inspired background, while supplies last. Plus, at each location, winners from each age division—Junior, Senior, and Masters—will earn a copy of the promo card with “WINNER” stamped on it.
For the first time, Trainers who win a Worlds Celebration event this year will also be treated to some cool commemorative accessories to keep upping their game! Trainers who win a Pokémon TCG event will receive a Worlds Celebration themed deck box and card sleeves to flex their next deck, and Trainers who win a Pokémon VGC or Pokémon GO event will be treated to a Worlds Celebration themed screen cleaner perfect for keeping their device nice and tidy.*
*This screen cleaner will not be available at Worlds Celebration events in Brazil.
